Co-partnership for the manufacture of silverplated flatware and holloware formed in 1875 by Robert Wallace with his sons Robert B., William J., Henry L., George H., Frank A. and sons-in-law W.J. Leavenworth and D.E. Morris. The manufacture of holloware ceased in 1986. In 1879 the corporation of Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co acquired and took over the business and goodwill of Wallace Brothers.

Origin in 1834 as Robert Wallace. Changed to Robert Wallace & Co (1855), Wallace Simpson & Co (1865), R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co (1871) Wallace Silversmiths ( 1956) and Wallace Silversmiths Inc (1984).

Early edition very hard to find the oversized buffet warming server prefect for main dishes or large sides, including the wide collar with ornate applied footed bottom /water bowl, cover lid with applied frame and retrievable solid loop handle, two inserts (full entrée /main dish or two ways /sides with ) all pieces in excellent conditions showing no dents, cuts , specks or wear trough, light scratching mostly from storage, minor smudge to a tip of one of the corner casting as pictured(pic 21), no monogram breaks or repairs, overall sturdy quality manufacture with steady solid weight and substantial bright mirrored plating and outstanding detail 17 7/8" long by 12 1/2" wide, 8 7/8" to the top of the handle and impressive 15.3 lbs. weight before packing.
