Royal Worcester Red Yellow Black & Gold Moorish Style Demitasse Cup & Saucer

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING OR MAKING AN OFFER.

Antique British bone china ring handle demitasse cup and saucer. Decorted in a Moorish style pattern with ref flowers and red and gold scrolls over a yellow background. Gold and black border. Gold highlights to the handle. Marked on the bottom Made For Caldwell Philadelphia with a puce Worcester mark with a crown. This mark was used between 1862 and 1875 without a date code which this does not have; however, it is probably made between 1887 and 1891 and only lacks the date code because of the additional importer's mark around the Worcester mark. I've seen other examples of the same pattern with an 1883 date code.

Has crazing typical of bone china, some staining, some wear to the gilding, and a large chip to the edge of the saucer.

The cup measures approximately 3 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
