This early collection of songs from Frances Day & Hunter publishers, is in good condition for age.  Not sure of exact age but the company address on the front dates from 1897.

Some very funny lyrics, definitely 'of the day', including uses for a gentleman's wife's cake (as a weapon, basically), a man who runs off with his girlfriend's mother, and the perils of not wearing a hat!

Rare find, and of certain historical interest.
