Vintage scholarly work on ancient texts.

Ex-library book with typical markings, card pouch, and register. Formerly belonged to a college library.

The book was extensively repaired using thick library tape, but the adhesive has failed, The cover hinges are split, and only attached by the library tape. The binding of the text is still intact with no loose pages, though there is a bit of spread between some middle pages. The text is complete and completely readable. There are no major blemishes to the pages. I examined the pages one by one and found perhaps a dozen cases of light marking. Most of the marks are either checks or "x"s . Some appear to be random or accidental. I found one instance of a brief note. There are a few scattered stains. The most conspicuous is shown in one of the photos. The others are fairly negligible.

567 pages. Contains 48 b/w plates at the back of the book.
