"Rudy Vallee Show" radio show transcription disc recorded by Eccles Recording, Inc, Hollywood, CA.  Two approximately 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was produced for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

This disc contains two audition or promo episodes of a very interesting radio program hosted by and starring Rudy Vallee.  The program consists of Rudy Vallee discussing show business, including many of his own experiences.  Written on one label in Rudy Vallee's handwriting is "Intro To Show Business".  I can not find any record of this program being broadcast

Program #1: Vallee gives an introduction to the series of programs, discusses his experiences in show business, discusses the feud between columnist Lee Mortimer and Frank Sinatra, among other things

Program #2: Vallee discusses Earl Carroll, describes the parties at Earl Carroll's house in Beverly Hills (birthday parties of 2,000 guests), mentions that at one party he met a young Yvonne DeCarlo, and they went together for a while.  Talks about Earl Carroll's conflict with The American Federation of Musicians.

Vallee mentions that he has been a member of the International Federation of Musicians since 1920, 27 years ago, which would date this disc from 1947.  Both programs are just under 15 minutes

This disc came from the estate of Rudy Vallee, the handwriting on the labels is that of Rudy Vallee
