Moresca Original Mega Dress Medieval Renaissance Medium Long & Handmade Chemise.

This listing is for a black diamond-pattern Mega Dress made by Moresca in size Medium/Long.  This style was discontinued several years ago, but is a classic and one of their best creations because it works well as a Medieval style or Renaissance style gown.  To go from Medieval to Renaissance, simply add a hoop skirt!

This dress is in EXCELLENT USED CONDITION!  And it's the most durable gown I've ever purchased.

The fabric is heavy but wears beautifully.  There is no boning in the lace-up bodice -- this dress doesn't need it.  However, to achieve the stiffer Renaissance look, I often wore a simple under=bust corset between the dress and the chemise.  

The long, flared sleeves add to the drama, and ties at the shoulders give the dress a more versatile fit.  Typically, a Moresca size medium will fit a ladies size 8-10.

Waist: 14”

The dress can easily be worn with looser lacing to give up to 4 more inches depending on how you want it to look.

Though I’ve cleaned the dress, there are still a couple of dust spots along the bottom hem line that I want to clean a little better. It’s last day at the faire was slightly rainy.

The chemise included in this listing was handmade by me.  It is made of a rich, flowing polyester satin fabric that can be machine washed in cold water.  The chemise will fit over a standard hoop skirt and has elastic at the neckline and wrists.
