This is a brass rank insignia, also known as "pips", for a British Army Officer during World War II with the King's Crown. The insignia set represents the rank of Colonel, but can obviously be split to make multiple more junior ranks. The badges are made of brass and enamelled with velvet inserts in the crowns.

The item was manufactured in the United Kingdom, and will have in use prior to 1952 and most likely during WWII.

The insignia is designed for shoulder use and falls under the category of Collectables, Badges & Patches, Collectable Badges, and Military Badges.
