My vinyl record rating guide:          vinyl  /  sleeve

NMINT-         outstanding gloss, should have no surface scuffing at all  /  strong spine with clear, legible print, should be close to perfect

EX                 outstanding gloss, a few light superficial surface scuffs, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and the possibility of a little light background noise familiar to vinyl lovers most likely during the dead wax spots between tracks  /  strong spine with clear, legible print, may have a little light age wear to the cover or the corners

VG+              superb gloss, some light superficial surface scuffing, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and some light occasional background noise possible  /  strong spine but the print may be compromised somewhat, some light age wear, but no seam splits or writing on the jacket unless noted in the description

VG                nice gloss, multiple light superficial surface scuffs, should still play well but with a little more background noise possible, should still be an enjoyable listening experience and I will usually play rate these and make it known on the listing  /  cover should be functional but may have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description

GOOD          good gloss, numerous scuffs, should play though but will have background noise, I will play rate these to make sure that the record plays through without skips, I will not list a record that skips, there may be a "click" on a few rotations, but I will note these in the description, I usually only list records that are more collectable at this rating  /  cover should be functional but will have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description

FAIR             I will only list these records if they are highly collectable and will describe each one individually

NOTE:           I am selling a few classics from my personal collection, some tasty 50's, 60's & 70's rock, jazz and soul LPs for the next few weeks. I know my starting bid is a higher than usual but this is the least amount I can accept for this great copy of this hard to find original.

ARTIST(s):    Miles Davis All Star Sextet / Quintet  ~  Jackie McLean, Milt Jackson, Ray Bryant, Percy Heath and Art Taylor

TITLE:           Miles Davis All Star Sextet / Quintet

LABEL:         1958 Prestige records mono deep groove 2nd issue release 7109  (RVG in dead wax, both sides. 203 Washington St. Bergenfield N.J. on both labels.)

COVER:        GOOD+  (age and shelf and seam wear, flaking on the seams, 2" split seam on the bottom seam at the opening.)

VINYL:           VG  (nice gloss, plays better than visual with crisp, clean analog sound and tremendous fidelity and some light, occasional background noise including a series of thumps on side two that last for 5-10 revolutions.  I listened to both sides and it is still a great listening experience, despite the occasional BG noise. All open LPs cleaned on VPI vacuum cleaner. Original inner sleeve included with a couple of tears in the seams, I will include a generic sleeve also.)
