#49-Ray Willsey 1954 Canadian Football Blue Ribbon Edmonton Eskimos-Univ of Cal

This rare card — #49 from the 1954 Canadian football season — is Ray Willsey, who played mostly defensive back but also a little quarterback for Edmonton Eskimos teams that won Grey Cups.

Prior to joining the Eskimos, he played for the University of California Golden Bears (1964-71). He later coached the Bears and was an assistant coach for St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders and Washington Redskins in the NFL.

This card is from a set made available to fans by the Blue Ribbon Company.

It has been stored in a non-smoking environment for more than 60 years. It is in excellent condition, although I am no expert on grading sports cards. It has no marks on it.

Please check the scan closely before bidding. It has been scanned in its plastic sleeve to protect it. Email with any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

All cards are in solid plastic sleeves that are 4.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches long, as these are larger format cards. All cards were scanned while encased in the plastic as I wanted to keep them protected. I double-checked and any marks are visible through the plastic. They will be shipped in the plastic sleeve, of course.

Free economy shipping is to Canada or the U.S. (tracking not included), usually within 48 hours of payment.
