Ridgway Morley & Wear Albert Star Pearlware Blue Transferware Sauce Tureen & Meat Dish C. 1836-1842

Rare pearlware sauce tureen with matching small meat dish in the Albert Star pattern in blue transfer by Ridgway, Morley & Wear. Marked on the bottom Albert Star R. M. W. & Co. This mark was used by Ridgway, Morley & Wear between 1836 and 1842.

Has a long discolored diagonal crack extending off the edge of the meat dish, approximately 5 3/4 inches long. Also has overall light staining to the meat dish. The lid has some staining on the bottom rim. The tureen itself has overall light patchy staining, but the lid and tureen are in otherwise good condition.

The tureen measures approximately 7 7/8
inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide x 5 3/8 inches tall.
The under tray measures
approximately 8 1/4 inches long x 5 7/8 inches wide x 1 inches tall.
The tureen measures
approximately 5 5/8 inches tall when sitting on the under tray.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
