Old Paris Hand Painted Grapevine & Gold Goats & Dogs Cup & Saucer Circa 1815-1820
Nice antique Old Paris / Vieux Paris French porcelain empire form cup with gilt swan/serpent handle and gild feet. Decorated with a grapevine band and scenes with gold gilt coats, dogs, and insects with green trees and foliage. Gold gilding along the edge and to the interior of the cup. Unmarked. Circa 1815 to 1820.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition.
The cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
