If used before, clean with soapy water. Just brush a little light vegetable oil or release on the form. Release agent is recommended, but not required. Not using a release agent makes it harder to release the stone, and you need to be more careful about damaging the mold. But too much release agent can cause bubbles on the surface. Mixed concrete: Always wear appropriate safety equipment (rubber and particulate mask) when mixing concrete.
