Mrs. Walt Disney 12 Page Article I LIVE WITH A GENIUS McCall's Magazine Feb 1953

Historic Walt Disney Treasures from Saturday's Toys presents...  an original 12-page article, as removed from McCall's Magazine; February 1953

I Live With a Genius is credited to Mrs. Walt Disney (as told to Isabella Taves)

As the world was about to be introduced to Walt Disney's newest animated feature film, "Peter Pan"... journalist, author, novelist and Emmy Award winning television story writer Isabella Taves (1905 - 2005) assisted Lillian Bounds Disney (1899 - 1997) in creating this feature article for the Valentine's Day issue of McCall's Magazine.  Taves was a prolific writer throughout the 1940's thru 1970's and her career archives are held at The American Heritage Center, University of Wyoming.

The extended article covers 7 of the 12 pages... as seen on pp. 38-40, 103-104, 106-107

Features several fantastic photos of the Disney family together... as Lilly attempts to provide a fuller explanation as to why life with Walt Disney was never dull... even as he stayed one step ahead of the entire family at times.  Wonderful insights into the unique dynamic of this family.

Pages measure 10.5" x 13.5"; in very good condition; neatly removed from the full magazine; suitable for archival preservation.

Saturday’s Toys and Collectibles was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and media historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first online specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 15,000 coveted treasures since that time, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers and collectors throughout the globe.

Today, online offerings of archival keepsakes are presented in celebration of the times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately represented by "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a nod to the Sherman Brothers): "Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
