A Pair
of CB transceivers Sommerkamp TS-912G Vintage hand-held early 1970s
As pictured. They appear in very good condition, absolutely
not my area of knowledge. I put batteries in one and it appeared to work. The
other has a battery terminal that has come lose and a connector that needs
re-attaching before it can be tested. The only other thing I noticed was the
volume controls are not identical – see photos. The one with the thinner
control is the one that worked with batteries.
Thus I cannot say for certain that these work as they
should.

Information from Internet:
Under the name Sommerkamp from the early 1960s to the
mid-1980s in Europe (Germany, Switzerland), CB and amateur radio devices were
sold by the Japanese company YAESU.
The TS-912G transceivers are based on only 9 transistors: 4
are in the single-mix heterodin receiver circuit and 455 kHz MF, three are in
the NF audio amplifier circuit with push-pull output, and the remaining two are
the transmitter circuit. A heterodine receiver with only 4 transistors is one
of the simplest receivers of its kind and consists of an RF amplifier, an
oscillator, a diode mixer and two stages of selective MF amplification. Our
receiver does not even have a ceramic MF filter and because of all this,
selectivity is probably not the best, but this is not so crucial for such
crystal line 2-channel transceivers of low power, which will work quite
satisfactorily at short distances in pairs. For the VF transmitter amplifier,
the PNP silicon transistor 2SA 603 was chosen, with which it is possible to
obtain a maximum of 300 mW of output VF power, and it is probably 200 mW in our
transceivers.
The TS-912G transceivers are also equipped with a tonal call
button that actually achieves a positive feedback (capacitive) between the
input and output of the NF audio amplifier, which also begins to oscillate at a
frequency of approximately 1 kHz. The power supply of the transceiver is
battery 12 V (8 x 1.5 V). The speaker is also used as a microphone via a
special audio transformer to adjust impedance. It is also possible to connect
headphones or another speaker (reception only) via an external port. The fully
extended antenna is 135 cm long.
