Dr Zhivago by Boris Pasternak First Edition 8th Impression November 1958

About the Book

“No synopsis can do justice to the richness of this book. Not only is it a vast panorama of a country undergoing the most radical revolution in history, it also probes, with deep and desperate concern, the fundamental values of human existence. Written with the intensity of genius, it is lit again and again by images of striking force, originality, and beauty. If this book is read as a political book it will be read for the wrong reasons. It deserves to be read as one of those rare masterpieces that grow out of the anguish, love, and courage of a great mind.”
