I bought the camera new around 2010 and have owned it ever since. It has been stored carefully away for several years and has minimal tiny marks. I used to direct profession corporate and promotional films and short sequences taken by this camera were edited into professional productions and the final edit showed only a miniscule drop in quality.
The HDR-HC1E was Sony’s first HD camcorder to use a CMOS sensor instead of a CCD one, and this camera HDR-HC9E continues with that feature. It uses the same 1/2.9in sensor as the
HDR-HC7E, which has a gross 3.2-megapixels. Only 2.3-megapixels are used when
shooting video, but Sony employs interpolation to boost still image resolution
to 6.1-megapixels for 2,848 x 2,136 photos. This is the same as the HDR-HC7E.
The image stabilisation is Sony’s Super SteadyShot optical system.
It has a Wireless Remote Commander with Lithium Battery
The Sony HDR-HC9E HDV Camcorder was released in 2008 and was one of the first high definition cameras in the UK. It still commands a high price due to its high quality, features and rarity as its no longer manufactured.
