Any fan of vintage Lingerie will know that in the late 1960s The late, great Janet Reger started a whole new age of glamour lingerie,by bringing her exquisite designs in satin and silk into the high street and into our bedrooms. Famously branded with the dragonfly logo throughout the 1970s, new and original examples of her work are now very rare and highly collectable, and should not be confused with the later Debenams ranges which carried her name under license.
This listing is for a simply stunning satin negligee / robe / peignoir in 36" - Smallish..a 10-small 12 in today's money.The robe is in a beautiful peach poly satin , and is heavily trimmed with taupe lace to the bustline, between the shoulders at the rear, and at the hemline. Wraparound style with button fastening at the front, and double button cuffs, this robe is exquisite, and would have been very expensive in the early 1970s, which the blue surround dragonfly label squarely dates it from . This is in unmarked condition, and may well never have been worn.
A very rare find indeed.
