I bought these vintage for a pretty lot of money just because I thought they looked so well built - and they are. The leather is about an 1/16th inch thick and tripled up at stress points - beautifully aged and polished, the patina is amazing. The soles are super-tough Vibram and show virtually no wear (maybe replaced? but I don't think so). Leather lining is in great shape. The tongues show the most wear, they've been laced up many times, but of course they barely show. They have no substantial flaws - see pics for one loose stitch I'd have fixed for $5 and a couple of scratches and a nick on the side of one toe. They look like they've been worn a good bit, I've worn them more than a few times, but I'm a city guy and can't get used to the cowboy heel.
