This is an original Emeco Chair, Model 1006, initially designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy. These examples date to the 2010s, and the listed price includes one chair. We have several 1006 chairs in our inventory available for purchase. The chairs were built by hand from recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Aluminum is an excellent material for seating as it is lightweight and is also naturally fireproof.

Each chair measures 15.5 inches long, 19.5 inches wide, and 34 inches high. Their seat height is 18 inches. The pieces are stamped underneath and retain their Emeco plaques. The legs have some light black marks on them, and there are a few light scratches. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition. Please see photos.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
