Meissen Marcolini Puce Indian Flowers & Rock Demitasse Cup & Saucer C1774-1817
Nice antique German porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated with a hand painted puce pattern with Indian flowers and rock with gold highlights. Marked on the bottom with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark a dot. This mark was used by the Meissen factory between 1763 to 1774.
Has two in manufacture stacking flakes to the foot rim of the cup and a bruise with associated chip to the edge of the saucer, but otherwise good condition.
The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide x 2 1/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 4 7/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
