This is a WW1 era postcard addressed to Private John Campbell Irvine, Royal Irish Rifles Service N° 5342, at the Palace Barracks, Holywood, County Down.

Originally in the 5th (Extra Reserve) Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, Service No. 5342, John would join the 6th (Service) Battalion Royal Irish Rifles who were in the 29th Brigade of the 10th (Irish) Division, and served in the Balkans theatre of operations.
He later transferred to the 1st Battalion Leinster Regiment, Service N° 20291, and was eventually discharged on 30th July 1919.
