This is a lovely, large vintage (or antique) ironstone pitcher made by J & G Meakin in Hanley, England. It has a scalloped rim with nice ribbed embossing down the sides of the pitcher, and an embossed handle. It's marked on the base with the lion and unicorn mark, which reads, "Ironstone China, J&G Meakin, Hanley, England."
It is a large pitcher, measuring about 9 1/2" high to the spout, 9 1/4" from spout to handle, and approximately 5" wide at the mouth.
Very Good Condition: This pitcher is in remarkable condition for its age, with no chips, cracks, fleabites, or staining. It does have very fine crazing in places.
