I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S.  NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED.

I'm offering today an adorable composition Patsy Ann doll by Effanbee from the year 1928.  She has molded hair with slight waves running through it.  She does have some paint loss to her hair, but that should be expected for a doll almost 100 years old.  The top of her arms and legs also have minor paint loss, but as you can see from the photos, nothing extreme.  Patsy Ann is fully jointed at the neck, arms and legs.  She can be posed in many different positions for displaying.  She is wearing an adorable pink and white cotton check dress with a voile apron from the same era as the doll.  It has been laundered and starched for maximum fullness on the doll.  She is wearing white cotton pantaloons with eyelet trim on the bottom of each pant leg.  Her white Mary Jane shoes are vintage and come from my personal vintage doll shoe collection.  She is a gorgeous doll.

I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description.  Starting at the top of her head, she has molded wavy hair which is painted a light brown color.  She has adorable bangs, which come down to the upper part of her forehead.  The composition is very nice on this doll with very little problems.  There are no craze lines or chipping that I find to the paint.  As I mentioned above, she does have some paint loss to the hair area and minor paint loss around her limbs.  I've taken photos for you to review.  These areas do not detract from the doll in any way. We must remember, this doll was made in the 1928's, so she's almost 100 years old, therefore, she's not going to be perfect.  I made her a large pink bow to match with her dress.  It is on a band that will stretch to fit Patsy Ann's head perfectly.  She has adorable blueish/green eyes which open and close freely.  She has her original thick brown eyelashes.  She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her small rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted a pinkish/peach color, which stand out against those adorable eyes she has.  Her chubby cheeks have beautiful pink coloring.  The doll has no odors and I try very hard to keep a clean, tidy home.

Patsy Ann is wearing a pink and white check cotton dress with a sweet white voile apron in front.  The bodice on the dress has a high collar which is trimmed with white ruffled lace.  As you go around to the back side of the doll, there are two hidden snaps which keep the dress in place.  Coming back around to the front bodice of the dress, it has short capped sleeves which are trimmed with the same white ruffled lace as around the collar of the doll.  There are two white buttons in front of the dress around the waistline.  The skirt is gathered tightly for fullness and comes down to about her knee area.  Under her dress, she is wearing a vintage white cotton slip with several rows of white ruffled lace for added fullness.  There are two white buttons on the slip to keep it in place.  Under her slip, she is wearing white cotton pantaloons with eyelet trim.  To top off this adorable dress, she is wearing vintage white Mary Jane shoes with little bows on top of each shoe.  These come from my vintage doll shoe collection, which are new/old stock and have never been worn by another doll.  Patsy Ann will come with her very own fluffy white Easter bunny to keep her company.  It's hard to believe this doll is almost 100 years old.

My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough.  My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy.  All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children.  Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll.  We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor.  My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new.   Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes.  If I've missed something it would never be intentional.

SIZE:

This is a nice size antique composition Patsy Ann doll measuring approximately 19".

CONDITION:

This is an old doll and will not be perfect.  It is my opinion after many years of collecting dolls, she's in good condition. She has open/close sleep eyes, which still work fine after all these many years.  She does have minor paint loss, but nothing serious. Her vintage dress from the same era as the doll is in very good condition and looks beautiful on her.  It has been laundered and ironed for a new look once again.  Her vintage Mary Jane shoes are vintage and have not been worn by another doll.  Please view complete set of photos for thorough description.  I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls.  God bless you.  Connie
