Recently purchased by me on Reverb as "Excellent" but at least one of the encoders is shot.

Shame on that seller...

Setting the Preset and Select controls for a given factory preset does not give the sound effect you would expect per the preset table.

You can get contact cleaner into the encoders, and I did that - worked them a bit and did get the unit working.

I did get a good delay sound that seemed to match up with the preset description.  Didn't try other effects settings.

But then after a while the unit reverted back to the same odd behavior.

So, if you have a way to repair the encoders or communicate via some other MIDI interface, I think the unit will produce effects.

But, this LXP-5 is sold as-is for parts.
