This is a 'DAR’ Armchair, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950. This particular chair was produced by Herman Miller in 2016. The listed price includes one DAR chair, and we have three available for individual purchase. “DAR” is an acronym for Dining (D) height, Arm (A) Chair, on Rod (R) Base. This design brought the Eiffel base to the marketplace for full production in 1950. The base type was discontinued in 1967, but re-issued since 2001

Each chair measures 24 inches long, 24.88 inches wide, and 31.5 inches tall. It has a seat height of 17.88 inches. There are some small signs of use on these chairs, but overall, the examples in our inventory are in very good condition with little wear apparent. Please see photos.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
