Welcome to the reluctant sale of my much cherished 2000 Mercedes R170 SLK 320 V6 Automatic.

This is a totally original unmodified R170 that has been well cared for over its entire 24 year life. Originally registered to Mercedes-Benz Brighton (Riverdale) as a demonstrator, subsequently being purchased by the previous owner some 6-months later, and brought by me in 2015 (2-previous owners showing on log book). The car has spent all its life in and around the Surrey / Sussex area!

I spent months travelling up and down the country trying to find an original unmolested rust-free example and found this car being sold locally by an emigrating older couple who were just as distraught to let it go as i will be!

This car has been shown at Mercedes Benz World, Mercedes Owners Club Shows and Beaulieu Motor Museum and won a number of accolades and awards.

The car has been garaged its entire life and driven strictly on high days and holidays, and never in the rain! This is demonstrated by the extremely low mileage of 70,500 (although this may rise with the better weather coming and the need for me to make the last opportunity of wind in the hair motoring).

This car is totally rust free and the yellow paint work is immaculate and bright, showing no signs of dulling or sun bleaching which is often common for this colour. 

The dashboard has no warning lights on and all the digits on the external temperature gauge, clock and mileage work correctly (unusual for a Mercedes of this age). 

The engine and gearbox are perfect: as you would expect from a 3200cc V6 engine it is very smooth and quiet with no unusual knocks or bangs. The roar of the silky V6 engine and immense power driving the rear wheels is unforgettable! Despite the engine size i regularly achieve 34+ MPG on mix of urban and motorway driving.

This car has been serviced annually in accordance with the Mercedes schedule - even when some years it had done less than 1000 miles!

The current MOT expires in June 2024 but a new 1-year MOT (without advisories) will be provided for a sale near to the asking price.     

If I was being extremely picky, two of the allow wheels could do with a refurbishment as very slight corrosion is evident.
