Charles is this spirit's name. He shared that he was very well off but not a good human being. He claims to be very ashamed of the way he treated people, particularly his family. After he left home and finished university he moved to NYC and worked on Wall Street as a stock broker and there he made his fortune. Once he made a name for himself he turned his back on his family. They tried reaching out but he never responded, even when his father died. His family needed him since the patriarch of the family was no longer supporting them. Charles never saw his family again. He married, had a family and then divorced and eventually just became a paycheck for his children. He was an absentee father. He died alone at 69 from cirrhosis of the liver due to his abuse of alcohol.
Charles has so much sadness. He feels so much shame that he feels he is undeserving and not sure why he is not swirled in a tunnel of fire. He said he thinks hell must be too good for him.
Due to his feelings he is far from a positive spirit, yet I would not consider him negative either...he is neutral.
Charles gives extreme cold spots around him especially as his pitiful energy grows. His self pity is exposed by his moans and whining. Sometimes there will be banging, like he is banging his head over and over. At times we smell the scent of cigar smoke. And I have here swear words. They were spoken very quietly like under his breath.
I gave Charles some bourbon as an offering once and he did not partake. I thought it was because he did not feel like he deserved an offering but he told my husband that he did not drink cheap booze that it was insulting. I guess Charles really has not learned anything after all sadly. He has settled in a cryptic oblivion....meaning he has mysteriously forgotten his true rottenness.
