A wonderful example of Herman A Kahler's studio's work is 

        this vase with its Hand Painted Expressionist florals

         A stained-glass effect is used in umber on an ocher ground

          The umber outline is filled with green, blue and sienna

            The bulbous body, with flared lip, sits atop a double pedestal base

              Incised with HAK on bottom, as well as 1930 pre-export, DANMARK

               It was only when lighting the object did I discover the ancient 

               chip repair at the base.(See last photo)
