DESCRIPTION:
This is a wonderful 20th century Sewills of Liverpool mahogany banjo barometer with a large circular dial and has an alcohol thermometer and hygrometer.
The top has a nice architectural pediment with a brass finial to the centre. This leads down to the alcohol thermometer which has a silvered back, which is marked with Fahrenheit and Centigrade. On top of this is a thermometer, which is in perfect condition. This is then covered with glass.
Going down to the aneroid barometer, the lovely silvered dial which is marked with the weather conditions is also signed 'SEWILLS ESTD 1800 AD LIVERPOOL' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. There is also a blued steel finger and brass finger to mark the change in weather.
The bottom of the case is nicely shaped and incorporates the hygrometer which has a nice silvered dial.

As you can see from these dimensions the barometer is of lovely grand proportions.

With regards to the age of the barometer it is 20th century.
CONDITION:
The dial is in perfect condition, as is the glass over the barometer. The barometer is in perfect order and the mahogany case in in super condition, as with all our barometers it is in perfect working order. There is odd age related marks to the brass commensurate with age and use. This really is a stunning quality barometer which is in fantastic condition.
