CONDITION NOTES: GOOD. Frayed caps, rubbed corners, shelf wear to cover edges.  NOT ex-library.   Page handling faults in preliminaries - spotting, edge tears and paper bends - the worst being a stress tear to one leaf in preliminaries (see in photos). Also, a torn plate shown in photos (no loss, but serious tear). No other plate tears noted.  Outside preliminaries, pages lightly toned and free of marks, creases or tears.   Solid page and cover attachment without any detached leaves. Gutters stressed but no detached threads noted. All plates properly folded with tissues in place.  No stamps or owner inscriptions. 
BINDING: Brown cloth, with tooled gilt vignettes and titles.
