Carl Schumann Dresden Style Reticulated Ducks on Lake Bowl Circa 1918 - 1929
Pretty
reticulated porcelain bowl. Nicely decorated in the Dresden style with a
scene of a duck on a lake and another duck flying over the lake. With
flowers, trees, and a sailboat in the background. Has a border of fancy
gold gilding in between the scene and the reticulation. With gold
gilding along the edge of the bowl. Marked on the reverse in green with a
crown above Bavaria. This mark was used by Carl Schumann between 1918
and 1929.
Has an in manufacture glazed over chip to the base
rim. Also has a few small spots of wear to the scene and to the gilding.
Otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
