Nippon Hand Painted Pink Rose Green Yellow & Beaded Gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer
Nice antique Japanese porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. The cup is decorated on the outside with two dark pink roses. The cup is decorated on the inside and the saucer is decorated with pink and dark pink roses over yellow panels framed in green and beaded gold. Gold gilding along the edge. The cup is marked on the bottom with the blue Maple leaf and Nippon Hand Painted mark. This mark was used between 1891 and 1911. The saucer is unmarked.
Has some wear to the gilding and a tight crack extending off the lip of the cup, but otherwise good condition.
The cup measures approximately 4 inches wide including the handle x 1 3/4 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
