Haviland Limoges Yellow Daisies & Purple Floral Blue & Gold Napkinfold Plate
Nice
antique napkinfold French porcelain plate. Decorated with yellow
daisies and purple flowers over a white center. With a blue border with
gold gilding along the edge and clouded / sponged gold highlights to the
relief molded napkin folded corners. Marked on the reverse H&Co
with two underscores in green. This is an underglaze manufacturer's
whiteware mark used by Haviland in Limoges France between 1876 and 1886.
Also marked Haviland & Co Limoges in a circle. This is an overglaze
decorating mark used between 1879 and 1889.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition.
Measures approximately 8 1/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
