Eldon Carey retired near Benson, Arizona and continued to be a serious rockhound in his later years. He sold lapidary rough in Southern Arizona, and I believe that to be the reason we occasionally find some Carey agate locally.
A small amount we obtained in an old collection yielded some beautiful cabs. This small rectangle is a beauty with the bright color and wonderful plumes this material is known for.
