The C394 B high-performance small-diaphragm condenser microphone is a combination of the Blue Line Series CK94 and the SE300 pre-amplifier.

Its figure-eight polar pattern picks up sound arriving from opposite directions and efficiently suppresses off-axis sounds. Thus it is the perfect tool for applications where sound sources face each other, as in broadcast-interview and round table situations. It is also perfect as a side microphone in M/S stereo technique. The CK94 is part of the Blue Line Series and works exclusively with the SE300 B pre-amp module. Its robust Modulock  bayonet coupling allows quick and easy changing of the capsules.

The C394 B provides a switchable bass roll-off/attenuator with three positions: flat, 75Hz and 10dB attenuation.

Audio frequency bandwidth: 20 - 20000 Hz

Equivalent noise level: 22 dB-A

Sensitivity: 10 mV/Pa

Signal to Noise: 72 dB-A

Electrical impedance: 200 Ohms

Recommended load impedance: 1000 Ohms

Polar Pattern: Figure of eight

This is a good condition example of the hard to find C394B mic (Blue Line Series CK94and the SE300 pre-amplifier), made in AKG's Austrian factory: see photos for condition - a few very minor superficial scuffs consistent with careful use, and some very minor dinting to the gauze screening of the capsule: the latter has no effect on the working of the mic at all, and, indeed, was like this when I bought it in 2021 from the excellent - and now largely retired - mic repair genius Ashley Styles of Saturn Sound. He thought the original capsule was a little noisy, so replaced it with an unused AKG spare he had instock.

It works perfectly, and is a lovely sounding example of a true single-diaphragm fig 8 mic.
