This was my mother in laws laptop, it had very little use. She's no longer using it and we powered it up and the screen did not turn on. The charging light by the charging port/plug and the power button both light up, as does the Wi-Fi light. When it's powered up, the optical drive does open automatically with the push button. When you close the optical drive I hear it making spinning noises. I don't know what's wrong with the screen or the laptop as I haven't seen it used in years. There are no cracks in the screen but I am unable to power the screen on to test for damage. I have removed the hard drive so there is no operating system. I am including the soft silicone gasket that goes around the hard drive to keep it from vibrating, and the power cord. The battery does not seem to hold a charge. The case and keyboard seem pretty clean for its age, but she didn't use it a lot. This laptop is for parts or repair. I do not know if it works properly as I cannot get the screen on.  She was not a wiz at computers so it is possible it had viruses. Please do not buy this and then email me to let me know there's something wrong with it. I'm telling you clearly and I have no idea what's wrong with it. But if you need parts or power cord (are you really smart at fixing computer things) this might be a good investment.
