Volumes 6 and 7 are supplementary volumes published several years after the original five volume set.
Volume 6, which we do not have, is: Contemporary Violin and Bow Makers;
VOLUME 7, which is included, is Price Guide and Appendix by Henley and Woodcock.

William Henley (1874–1957) was an English violinist, arranger of music, music teacher, and composer.

Biography
William Henley was born in 1874. He studied with August Wilhelmj and later became a professor of composition and principal of the violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

The seminal reference book, the Universal Dictionary of Violin & Bow Makers, is based on his notes. The book was the first to include a significant number of American craftsmen. Henley travelled extensively as a performer, primarily with his quartet. It was during his trips, including a trip to America during the 1920s, that he gathered information for his book.
He died in 1957.

CONDITION: The books are all in Fine Condition.
The dust jackets of Volumes 1-5 are in Very Good or Very Good+ condition with some wear at edges, short closed tears at extremities of a few of the folds. The dust jacket of Vol. 7 is in Very Good- condition with light soil, wear and several closed tears at margins.
