Matching Pair of Retro Chinese Aluminium Thermos Flasks with Glass Vacuum  insert - * New old stock *.

These  flasks are new old stock, have never been used but have had one fill of boiling hot water to check the thermal efficiency of the vacuum.

The stopper is a light cloth covered cork with aluminium top cover, which is perfectly adequate for purpose.  With regular use the cork becomes an even better fit.

There is a more modern silicon rubber style bung which can alternatively be used, it is perfect in efficiency and will have a long life. These bungs can be bought on eBay from various sellers.

** An example of this style silicon bung is shown in the last two photographs but is NOT included in sale, it is for customer reference only. **

The flasks can be totally disassembled for internal cleaning of case and caps or maintenance/painting etc. ** Care must be taken not to damage glass vessel, especially at vacuum fusion point.**

** IMPORTANT :- The aluminium cap is unsuitable for hot drinks as heat transfers almost instantly !

Best to use an alternative cup/mug etc.

These flasks are totally functional items that can be used on a daily basis but are also a great decoration for kitchens, camper vans, canal boats and more.  As they are a somewhat 'rustic' type flask they are NOT perfect in appearance or uniformity so please bear this in mind.
