This is a Warwick Vase car mascot/hood ornament mounted on a small period cap. The mascot dates to the 1920s and was commissioned by the Earl of Warwick to be fitted to the charabancs and staff cars of the estate, featuring a detailed miniature of the world-famous Warwick Vase displayed at Warwick Castle.

The mascot is marked “Warwick Vase” on the front of the base and “Made in England” on the rear. It is also marked “Reg Des App For GB & USA” on the inside of the bowl. The mascot and the cap are in good condition with a beautiful patina and display very well. The cap shows signs of wear as you would expect from a piece of this age with scrapes and minor bumps, etc., but overall is also in good condition.

The mascot/hood ornament without the cap measures 2 3/8. Inches tall by 3 1/4 inches at its widest point. The cap adds an additional 3/4 inch to the height. The base of the cap measures 1 7/8 inches across the threads.

The marble base is for display purposes only and is not included in the auction.
