Two catalogs . The 1911 and 1913.

Deux Portfolio.

One is in excellent condition, the second one is a little more worn.

These are original catalogs from the factory being typeset and modified by either Coty or someone who designed the original catalogs.

An amazing museum artifact of COTY PERFUME.

We are open to offers.

Condition: (Continued)

One of the catalogues is clearly for the typesetters and has handwritten ink pen notes adjusting the prices and how the catalog should look. There is a possibility that these notations were written by Coty himself as this is the final before it went to draft. There are finely written notes about the perfumes, prices etc...throughout the book to adjust it, presumably for the 1913 edition , then the 1913 edition is in spectacular condition. So the 1911 catalog was used as a template to recalculate and readjust to the 1913 look. The 1911 being an executives overview before printing with many handwritten notes, as I said, for the typesetters and there is no reason to believe this could not be Coty.

Found at a North Florida estate of a family that clearly had Freemason ties. This has been preserved for well over a hundred years and is in excellent museum quality condition.

This auction is for 2 catalogs. One 1911 and the other 1913. Each has a cover with the incised stamp in the art nouveau dancing cherubic figures although each is slightly a different size in the separate catalogs. One catalog has a red silk tie .

The paper is fine in both except in the "working catalog" the old 1911 catalog the last page is stuck to the back and I didnt try and unpeel it.

Please ask me any questions about this exquisite auction. I believe these should be in a prominent parisienne perfume collection either at the museum for Coty as this is a masterpiece, a time piece from one of the most prominent perfume families that ever existed. Not just a bottle , but how the whole beginnings of Coty came to be in the early 1900s inside an actual catalog most likely , as I said, organized by Coty himself for the final drafting of his 1913.

I think this is very rare but if you would like to make an offer please do. I would like to this to go somewhere where his early catalogues and how they were put together could be displayed to people could learn the mechanics of one most successful perfume houses in the world and how it began.
