I bought this Z200 in 2012 to ride the Moto Piston Rally in Spain. The bike has completed this rally 8 times and many VMCC events. The carb was changed for a new Mikuni VM26 (the original is included), the rear indicators are from a DT175MX and the front mudguard is a long aluminium one - I have the original and it comes with the bike. The mirrors are from a modern triumph, I don't know which but they are excellent. It is fitted with a Boyer Bransden inductive discharge electronic ignition, the points are retained but are only used to trigger the spark so they never burn out.

Please take the time to read the maintenance notes copied below. The bike has had all sorts of new bits.

I have a lot of spares I'd sell, including various engines (one example is complete new old stock clutch assembly I'd sell for less than the price of a set of patten plates). 

I am including the spares I carried on the Moto Piston (pictured), these include a ready to fit VM26 carb, as on one rally I got muck in the carb and spent a lot of time at the roadside cleaning it out - never again. The kit also includes spare points and condenser should the Boyer unit pack up. I've never had one fail and this one has worked perfectly for over 11 years. I've just fitted a new battery and reconditioned starter motor, it starts on the button.

Bad bits, poor chrome on the front rim and the rear tyre will need replacing in a few hundred miles.

The bike is at my place in Mid Wales, Builth Wells and you would be very welcome to come and have a look at it - they always look better in the photos.
