A+ Condition Rare Vintage Sony Receiver Made in Japan. 

This unit looks great and sounds amazing with warm clear tone and nice bass response.

A 45 watt RMS amp from the 70's is equal to about an 80 watt amp made today, before manufacturers started fudging the numbers like most do today.

·      Vintage Sony STR-4800SD Receiver.

·      Braided Wire Speaker Jack Adapters.

·      All Lamp Bulbs Have Been Replaced with LED Bulbs. 

·    All Filter Capacitors have been tested and replaced as necessary.

Professionally Serviced & Bench Tested:

 

✅ All Inputs and outputs have been tested.

·      We replaced any defective filter capacitors.  All Lamp Bulbs Have Been Replaced. 

·      Repaired any poor solder connections. Cleaned all Controls, Potentiometers & Switches.

·      Unit functions according to manufacturer’s specifications.

 

✅ True RMS Test Results:

·      Both channels are putting out 45 watts True RMS at 8 ohms (+/-1.5 watts).

·      (This unit is rated at 35 watts RMS minimum per channel at 8 ohms from the manufacturers specs).

·      *This amp is very strong with lots of headroom and will sound nice with a good set of Speakers.

 

✅ Transistor Idle Current Bias Balance has been tested and set to manufacturers recommended settings per manufactures Service Manual. (If applicable).

✅ A/B speaker connections. Phono input, 2 Tape in & 2 Tape record out (tape out could be used as a pre-out for a subwoofer).  Auxiliary input for CD, mp3 Player, DAC, Bluetooth Adapter etc.

✅ Frequency response is 20Hz - 20,000 Hz, +/- 1 db, harmonic distortion is 0.2 @ 1 kHz, 0 db.
