In the early days of Nike iD the whole process was a completely different experience to how it is now. When it initially launched in 2000 it was a first of it's kind, and to this day remains popular under the new Nike By You name. But go back to 2005, when you ordered a pair of Nike iD's they came with a suede lined box, suede dust bags, colour samples and a wax sealed envelope with further information regarding your personalised order - this pair of Air Max 180s still has ALL of the above. The 180, which originally released in 1991, was designed by Bruce Kilgore and Tinker Hatfield The initial focus of the Air 180 was led by the goal to make air more visible than ever. Using a horseshoe as inspiration, the designers sought to execute an air bag that spanned all the way around the heel. The first-of-its-kind Air unit proved the blow-moulding process to be useful and marked the first time a urethane outsole was moulded to an Air bag. This iD example was inspired by vintage ACG colourways and remains in an almost brand new condition with OG all. Of course a 1 of 1, but made even rarer by the fact all the OG add ons are still present.
