Antique Victorian Oak Banjo Barometer and Thermometer

DESCRIPTION:
This super OAK aneroid barometer is in lovely condition and of  lovely grand proportions. The oak itself is a wonderful rich colour. As you can see from the photographs there are wonderful carved details to the case.

There is a nice silvered thermometer back, which is marked with Fahrenheit and Centigrade. On top of this is a ALCOHOL thermometer, which is in perfect condition and perfect working order.
 
Going down to the aneroid barometer, the silvered dial is nicely marked with the weather conditions. There is also a blued steel finger and brass finger to mark the change in weather. The dial has a lovely pattern to the centre of the dial and at the bottom are the words 'WHEN THE BAROMETER READS BELOW 30 UNSETTLED WEATHER MAY BE EXPECTED'. Also over the dial is a lovely piece of bevelled glass which sets it off beautifully.
 
The carvings on this barometer case are lovely, from the photographs you can see the attention to detail all the way down the barometer, which has been beautifully carved.
 
DIMENSIONS:
The approximate dimensions are:
- 35 inches (89 cm) high.
- 10.25 inches (26.5 cm) wide.
As you can see from these dimensions the barometer is of fantastic grand barometer.
 
CONDITION:
The barometer is in perfect working order as with all our barometers it has been serviced. Also the oak case in in super condition. The dial is in perfect condition just minor marks commensurate with age. The glass over the thermometer and barometer is undamaged. This really is a stunning quality barometer which is in fantastic condition.
