This postcard was purchased by my friend, Lotje, in Prague, Czech Republic. Lotje scours European capitols for beautiful old dog postcards. She sends them from Europe to me in the USA.
On the front of this rare vintage art postcard is the portrait of a gorgeous Spitz and 2 lovely ladies. All three are sitting on ice next to a hole..probably a fishing hole. On the back is a manufacturer's message that the Czech language that translates to: "Merry Christmas". Also on the back is a handwritten message in the Czech language, an address in the the Czech Republic, a Czech stamp, a faded postmark and the handwritten date, 1925. Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard. The postcard was originally made in the Czech Republic. Aside from some signs of surface wear mostly around the perimeter, this postcard is still easy to see and appreciate!
