Set of 4 Straus Morning Glory & Iris Garlands Pink Chocolate Cups C. 1891-1917
Set of 4 porcelain chocolate cups and saucers. Nicely decorated
with garlands of green morning glories and yellow irises with pink over
top. With a band of gold laurel leaves along the edge. Marked on the
bottom in pink L. S. & S. Carlsbad Austria. This mark was used by
Lazarus Straus & Sons in Austria between 1891 and 1917. Also marked
with the pattern number 3594 15.
One of the saucers has a
small in manufacture chip to the edge that has been gilded over. One of
the cups has a 1 1/4 inch tight crack. These also have some wear to the
gilding.
Each cup measures approximately 3 inches wide x 3 inches tall.
Each saucer measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide.
These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
