SPECIES - Siphocypraea Grovesi.

STRATIGRAPHIC RANGE - Restricted to unit 4 of the Fruitville member, Tamiami Formation, late Piacenzian Pliocene.

Common name ( Cowrie )

This shell was recovered from a lake bed in Central Florida and is approximately 3 million years old.
