A classic and elegant 1950s West German Pottery vase, made by Bay Keramik. The vase was designed in 1955 or 1956. Its decor is known as 'Florenz' and is hand painted in beautiful, swirling patterns of pastel yellow and brown. The form is wonderfully and rather organically curved; with the rounded 'belly' balanced by the handle on the opposite side. The identifier 527-14 is embossed on the underside of the vase. A truly classic, very collectible piece of German pottery. Eduard Bay founded his ceramics factory in Ransbach, Germany in 1933.

Please note that I use strong lighting to help highlight the maximum amount of detail of each piece. As each piece is bathed in such strong lighting conditions, the on-screen effect will possibly make the item appear lighter in colour and tone. Your piece may look slightly darker in more natural lighting conditions.
