Richard Klemm Dresden Hand Painted Renaissance Girl Yellow & Gold Reticulated Charger

Beautiful reticulated porcelain charger. Decorated with a hand painted rectangular portrait of a little girl in a pink Renaissance dress carrying a plate with pastries or croissants. The portrait is framed in gold gilt scrollwork, bubbles, flowers, and lattice / net design. The center of the plate has a yellow background. With gold gilt highlights to the reticulated edge. It is impressed Meissen on the bottom. This mark was used by Carl / Ernst Teichert. The dates online for this mark are given as 1894 to 1914, but the Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain 1710 to the Present by Robert E. Rontgen give the dates as 1882 to 1925. Also marked RK Dresden Germany. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Richard Klemm in Dresden Germany between 1891 to 1914.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 11 1/2 inches wide.
