Up for sale, a 1997 Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in Alpine White and complete with a Custom Shop hardshell case. From an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production, this Les Paul makes the most of the classic combination of a solid mahogany body, carved two-piece maple top, and genuine ebony fretboard, delivering an extremely authoritative, lively and barking natural acoustic quality.

Weighing 10lbs 4oz, this Les Paul has impressive clarity, punch, and midrange presence. The original 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup yielding more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup is tailored for gain with plenty of output and roar. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with 10-46 strings, this Les Paul has low action and accurate intonation.

The Alpine White nitro lacquer gloss finish exhibits graceful yellowing of the clear coat, framed by ambered binding. There are some minor dings and light finish scratches on the body consistent with minimal use, localized lacquer checking, and a couple very faint darker streaks in the finish on the lower bout on top.
